Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a remarkable improvement over traditional hair removal methods such as electrolysis or waxing. Newer high energy lasers deliver energy directly to hair follicles and can cause significant damage to these structures, resulting in their permanent removal. The laser energy is selectively absorbed by hair follicles because these are the only skin components that are larger and pigmented. The rest of the skin is thus not affected. Entire areas of skin are treated at once, making laser hair removal much faster than electrolysis. All body areas can be treated, including facial hair, underarms, bikini area and even the legs, chest or back. The laser treatments are also much less painful than electrolysis.

Dr. Langdon uses the latest in laser hair removal technology: the Apogee 40 laser from Cynosure. This laser employs proprietary ThermoKinetic Selectivity (TKS) to enable the safe delivery of higher energy treatments.
